New Delhi. Whatsapp has brought the Screenshot Blocking feature to its users. This feature has been introduced keeping in mind the privacy of the users. This feature has long been discussed. The company has been testing it for a long time and has now started rolling out this feature. At the moment, this feature is available to some beta testers. Using the screen lock feature, users cannot take screenshots of videos and photos sent as View Once.

According to WABetainfo’s report, the instant messaging platform has started rolling out the screenshot blocking feature for some beta testers. According to the reports, WhatsApp is going to release a new version of View Once Photos and Videos.

Its purpose is to improve the privacy of the users by preventing the user from taking screenshots and screenshots. At the moment, this feature is only available to some beta users. For this, users will need to download the latest beta version of WhatsApp from the Google Play Store.

How does the Screenshot Blocking feature work?
If a user submits a photo or video as ‘View once’, the user who took the screenshot will see an error message in which it will be written ‘Can’t Take Screenshot due to Security Policy’. Not only this, if a user tries to take a screenshot from a third-party app, they see the screen black.

Features for photos and videos
If someone takes a screenshot of your message, they will never notify you. However, the screenshot will be blocked right under Privacy. The new feature is only for photos and videos. So users can take a screenshot of the conversation. Apart from this, users cannot forward, save or export photos and videos as usual.
