CHANDIGARH: Karnal recorded maximum three Covid-19 deaths as Haryana recorded more recoveries than the fresh cases on Saturday. As many as 1,318 patients were discharged and the state saw 1148 new cases and six deaths from across the state.
Besides Karnal where 3 deaths were reported, rest one death each has been reported from Jind, Panchkula and Bhiwani districts. Low death count has continued to contain the fatality rate to 1.10% as death toll in state has reached 1640.
According to information today’s data have pushed the recovery rate to 92.01% while overall recoveries in the state have gone to 13,7176 out of the total 1,49,081 cases reported so far. There are 10,265 active patients in the state which include 195 who are on oxygen support and ventilator support in various Covid care centres.
Gurugram and Faridabad topped the chart with 271 and 159 fresh cases respectively. Gurugram’s overall count has gone to 25,154 and 190 deaths while Faridabad’s count has gone to 22,509 cases and 238 deaths. Rohtak has reported 129 new cases followed by 118 in Hisar district.
Sirsa reported 72 new fresh cases followed by Sonipat with 47 cases, , Jhajjar 43, Mahindergarh 42 and 37 new cases in Panchkula. Ambala and Kurukshetra have reported 29 cases each followed by 26 in Palwal, 24 in Fatehabad and 22 each in Karnal and Yamunanangar districts.
Bhiwani has reported 21 new cases followed by 14 cases each in Panipat and Kaithal districts, seven in Rewari, four in Jind and two in Nuh district.
The testing rate in the state was recorded 92737 tests per million per day as total 2350971 persons have been tested so far.
