So, that’s why I made the list of some of my favorite, most popular, awesome, and best SEO tools and web development tools that can make SEO expert’s and web developer’s life easier.

PageSpeed Insights


PageSpeed Insights, a tool by Google that examines the performance of your web-page and shows suggestions on how to make it faster and better that will likely deliver a better user experience.
Just enter your websites URL and hit analyze, it will generate a detailed report on how your website did on smaller (smartphone) as well as on bigger (computer) screens with their respective scores and speed suggestions.

With more than half of total Internet gone mobile, it is very important to make your site optimized for smaller screens and this tool by Google just help you do that.
Just enter your website’s URL and it will test your site on a standard smartphone connection. It will generate your speed report along with some suggestion to make it faster on smartphones that can reduce your visitor loss while loading.

Structured Data Testing Tool


Structured data is basically an information with high degree of organization, this information largely includes data in relational databases and spreadsheets. Putting it in simple words, it is basically data with fixed fields such as Price, Product Name, and Ratings.
Structured Data helps search engines to understand your content more reliably. If you have such kinds of data, putting such markups on your site can really help you with your SEO and this tool is going to help you with that.
Just put your code on the left empty field and it will show how it will look in search results in right. It the code has any errors, it will show it to you.

Google trends, a nifty little tool which shows most trending Internet queries in the world or in a particular country. If you are a blogger or journalist, you can use this tool to find most popular search queries and use it to your advantage.
Many websites like “medium.com” draw shitload of traffic from writing about current situations and trends and you can do the same. Such trending keywords draw a huge amount of traffic in a very short period of time.

It is the best tool I have used so far to track your websites performance and actionable analytics. Just put on a simple code on your website and it will start providing you with insights on your website.
It is really useful and provides tons of insights about your site like – online users, time on your site, behavior, their medium of browsing, bounce rate, sources, conversions and tons of other more.
Using that data you can find how users behave on your site? Which content do they like most? Is your site performs well on all screen sizes? and much more. Analysing such answers, you can troubleshoot your problems and improve your user experience.

Google Search Console


Search Console tracks the performance of your website in Google search results. It provides several useful insights like CTR, Position, Impressions, and queries.
You can use this data to track and improve your site’s performance in search results and draw more organic traffic.

Google AdWords

It falls more into marketing category but, it can help you with your business. Google AdWords provide PPC marketing solutions for your business. It includes search ads, video ads, banner ads, and app ads.
The traffic driven by such ads usually have high conversion rate because it is highly targeted down to minor details.

Google Keyword Planner


It is another awesome but paid tool by Google that helps you with keyword planning. It shows nifty little insights about keywords like – average monthly searches, competition, suggested bid, and relevant keywords.

GTMetrix


GTMetrix is freeware tool that measures your website’s speed and performance. Just enter your website’s URL, tap analyze, and you are good to go. After analyzing, it will show you your performance report card with a handful of problems and suggestion on how to solve them.
One of the things I love about GTMetrix is it’s analysis options, you can tune some options like browser, device, location, adblock, video, and onload. Such customization can give useful insights on how your site performs in different screen sizes, in different countries, and in different browsers.

Pingdom


It is another tool which can help you with testing your site’s performance along with some other helpful features like – DNS health and server monitoring.
It might not have analysis options like GTMetrix but, we can choose different locations to test the site performance; and the design and speed are also better. The server monitoring feature is state-of-the-art, it monitors your server for potential downtime and sends the report back to you.

SEMrush


SEMrush is one of my favorite SEO tool of all time. It is a sort of all-in-one SEO tool which is built to provide all your SEO needs which contain features like – Domain Analytics, Keyword Analytics, Position tracking, Backlink Analysis, On-Page SEO Checker, Brand Monitoring, Social Media Tracker, and Organic Traffic Insights.
It is especially useful because it provides tons of SEO needs and monitoring under one roof.

Bing Webmaster Tools


It is just like Google’s Serch console, it will help in monitoring and improving your site’s performance in bing search results.

Copyscape Plagiarism Checker


This tool checks the originality of your content. Just put in your URL and it will search the web for copies of your web pages content.

AddThis


AddThis provides social bookmarking service, just put a simple code on your website and then the social bookmarking widget will start appearing on your web pages. You can customize this widget and add or remove the bookmarking you want.

Hunter.io


Hunter.io lets you find the email addresses of persons or companies within seconds. This tool really helps in SEO and link building, especially if you are using email outreach program to reach out to potential linkers.

Yoast is the best WordPress plugin for SEO. It is simple, easy to use, and pretty much takes care of all aspects of on-page optimization.
The free version supports only one keyword but if you want more you can buy premium version too. It shows readability score, keyword optimization, meta tags, keyword density and pretty much all other things that are possible in on-page SEO.
