We rarely think about it: deep beneath our feet, beneath the Earth's thin crust, smoldering hot magma is boiling. Where the Earth's plates meet, tremendous force and high pressure can appear, which cannot be predicted despite all the important measurements and research. Our gorgeous planet Earth is actually a glowing fireball with a moving surface.

Although Iceland's natural landscape is impressive, it threatens the lives of local residents. Frequent volcanic eruptions and earthquakes have cost many people their lives. However, volcanic activity is vital to us. Without the exchange between the Earth's fiery interior and our living space on Earth's surface, there would be no life on Earth. A look at the Moon or Mars shows what the Earth would look like without the constant movement in and out. Just one example: Many people use geothermal energy to generate power. Such is our life on Earth: always at risk and yet supported by Mother Earth.
