An Air India Air hostess was Physically harassed for more than six years nine months by her senior and desperate Airhostess took to Twitter seeking justice from the civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu and also sent the copy of the letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The victim in her letter said that she is a single mother and has been working in the Airline in a senior position. The minister on his part immediately responded said “Asked Air India CMD to immediately address the issue. If necessary, will appoint another committee”– he tweeted
The air hostess’ letter which has ‘Request for Justice’ as the subject line, said since “Air India refused to deal with the matter seriously”, she was forced to raise the issue with the highest authorities in the country.
The Airhostess did not mention the name of the officer and compared him as a “predator” and equal, if not worse, ‘than Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby put together’. The letter dated on 25 May said this senior executive is a predator and has sexually propositioned her and abused her and used abusive languages on other women in her presence. He spoke of sexual acts with her and other women in office premises. He also forced other women to accompany him in the bar at night.
The frustrated Air-hosted first tried for justice from the Air India management but she did not get the response from the Airliner officials. She said she did not want media attention and publicity but after 6 years 9 months torture she was left with no option but to come to the public.
The Airhostess further complained that she was denied positions and privileges as she rejected his advances and she would reveal the name of the officer if she is allowed a meeting with the aviation minister.
In recent time the reputation of the national Airlines has been marred by several sexual harassment cases. It was in May this year an Air India pilot was arrested for molesting a fellow air hostess onboard the plane of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai flight on May 4.
There was a fracas between the air hostess and the accused onboard and the air hostess had lodged a complaint with Mumbai’s Sahar police station and a case was registered. On last year in November, Kerala Police had registered a case against the pilot for sexually harassing a female flight attendant.
