Conflict Between Congress And BJP On Seating Arrangement

A fresh conflict has started between Congress party and BJP on the seating arrangement of Congress President Rahul Gandhi during the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi was seen in the sixth row among the audience viewing the demonstrations as a part of Republic Day celebrations.

The opposition leaders said that it was a deliberate act to insult their leader, while the ruling party said that they were following the protocol and following the tradition set by Congress when they were in the rule.

Congress Party leaders said that their President Rahul Gandhi was given a seat in the fourth row in the beginning and changed to sixth row later. They termed it as cheap politics.

BJP said that Congress Party has given seats in the eleventh row to the President of the opposition party BJP Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari on many such celebrations in those days. In fact, those rows were meant for officials.

Rajnath Singh and Gadkari never attended the republic day celebrations due to this reason, said Anil Bhupani, the conveyor of BJP Media cell.

He said that BJP has given the first-row seat to Sonia Gandhi in the past three years breaking their tradition and respecting the leader of the opposition. However, this was discontinued the current President of Congress Rahul Gandhi.
