Rahul Gandhi was obviously stumped when asked about his marital status at an interaction in the 112th PHD Chamber’s Annual session & Awards for Excellence 2017 in New Delhi. Indian Boxer Vijayender Singh questioned Rahul Gandhi on various issues during the interaction at this event. When questioned about his physical activities, Rahul Gandhi confidently revealed that he ran, swam and had a black belt in Aikido, which is a form of Japanese Martial Arts involving traditional weapons.

However, his confidence faded when Singh questioned him about his marriage. Vijayender Singh asked Rahul Gandhi directly on when he was planning to get married. He said that marriage is a part of destiny. ‘Jab hogi, tab hogi’ (It will happen, when it has to happen) he said somewhat philosophically. He said that it was an old question and he believes in destiny. However, it seems like it has been too late to rely on destiny.
When asked about the importance of Sports in his life, Rahul Gandhi said that he spends at least an hour every day for sports. He said that he wasn’t able to do so from the past three or four months owing to busy political schedules. When Singh asked Rahul to put up a video of him playing some sport, Rahul said that he would do so if it would inspire the youth to take up sports.
