Clash Continues Between Infosys Founder And The Board

Infosys Founder Narayana Murthy has once again publicly criticized the company’s board for not addressing the concerns raised by him earlier in the month of August. One side the Board of directors is trying to find a proper replacement in the place of the previous CEO Vishal Sikka, who resigned out of frustration with the clashes between the founder and the board.

Murthy said that he raised questions about the poor governance and excessive severance, which have not been addressed even after two months. The previous CEO of Infosys Vishal Sikka stepped down from his post due to distractions escalating criticism from the founders over strategy and compensation. The clash between the founder and board led to the delay in recruitment of a top-notch leader to take charge of the technology giant.

Infosys slashed its annual revenue forecast as it has been facing disturbances within the industry. An analyst with Ambit capital Sudheer Guntupalli said that the ongoing clash would do collateral damage and adversely affect the search for new CEO. He said that the situation has come to the same position where it was before two months, as the founder Narayana Murthy repeatedly kept questioning the decisions of the board. Murthy on other side said that he was disappointed with no progress and improvement in the issues he had raised in his Infosys Investors meet on August 29 this year.
