Matching the Sunflowers

Have you ever visited a Sunflower Field before? This was my first visit to a proper sunflower field filled with acres of Sunflowers as far as the eye could see and boy was it stunning! I've been to fields before with a few random sunflowers mixed in with wildflowers, or I've seen patches of sunflowers alongside the road while driving elsewhere, but I've never walked down a narrow green path under row upon row of towering yellow heads. It was quite the experience. Nature is really so lovely. We bought two bunches of sunflowers to take home as well. Thomas said, "do you need two? Why not just get one bunch?" And I responded I didn't need any, but I wanted as many as he was willing to buy! In spring I go back and forth on what my favorite flower is because they're all so lovely, but maybe sunflowers are my favorite--half of my wardrobe does match them perfectly! I also love how long they last in a vase at home; they stay fresh for ages and slowly wilt into the beautiful shape of a Van Gogh painting. Ours sit in a ridiculous fish vase, but somehow they still look like art filling up the kitchen window.
P.S. My dress is from Shein and it comes in a few different colors. You can use my code "3rebecca15" for 15% off your order at Shein.

"But on the hill the goldenrod, and the aster in the wood,
And the yellow sunflower by the brook in autumn beauty stood,
Till fell the frost from the clear cold heaven, as falls the plague on men,
And the brightness of their smile was gone, from upland, glade, and glen."
