This happens a lot, so this is how it is:

If you’re not a member of a Religious organization, you have no legal obligation to help them raise money.  Pressuring you with threats or harassment is Extortion.

Extortion is a very serious crime, and carries a heavy prison sentence.

Most religious organizations are ethical about raising money.  But some are greedy and will use underhanded tactics.  Don’t let them abuse you into “helping” them.  Call the cops.
