Disney isn’t going to let off the accelerator when it comes to its live action slate judging by some new announcements.
It seems Disney has really been bolstered by the success of The Jungle Book so it took Monday to announce a sequel plus claim dates for more films in a similar style. The release schedule now looks like:

This schedule does appear to confirm that after 2017 we are done with Start Wars films in Dec. Seems like a silly move to me. As to what will fill these unnamed slots:
- The Jungle Book 2
- Maleficent 2 with Angelina Jolie
- Cruella starring Emma Stone
- An untitled Tinker Bell film with Reese Witherspoon
- The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
- A Wrinkle in Time
- Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson
- Dumbo directed by Tim Burton
- Mary Poppins sequel starring Emily Blunt
While not all of these films have been to my liking (Maleficent bored me), it is clear they are working for Disney. Combined with the Marvel and Star Wars franchises, it looks like Disney may need a larger vault for all of this money.
