It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but Masters of the Universe is going to miss its Dec. 18 release date.

It’s amazing what happens when you have no director or cast attached yet to a project.

Sony is still on its never-ending quest to get a Masters of the Universe movie out the door. Reportedly there is an actor in talks to play He-Man himself, but beyond that, there is no one signed on to the film.

For now, the release date is “2020” and nothing more, and even that is feeling rather overly optimistic to me.

Some day my white whale will come…
