Supposedly this third film ends the series, but I’m not betting on that anymore.
How to Train Your Dragon 3 took the top spot this weekend with $30.04M. That brings it to $97.69M domestic and $375.39M global. Tell me again how it’s the end of the series.
Second place went to Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral which opened with $27.05M.
Alita: Battle Angel landed in third with $7M. Domestically it sits at $72.23M, and globally at $350.45M off of a $170M budget.
Fourth Place went to LEGO Movie 2 with $6.61M. It now sits at $91.67M domestically and $152.77M globally.
Green Book made its way back to the top five following its Oscar win to take in $4.7MM and a new domestic total of $75.92M, and globally sits at $188M off of a $23M budget.
This week’s wide-release will be Captain Marvel.
