When you see any Movie you think this could be it. That it will be the only one and that a sequel isn’t a given. At the end of the day, every movie is technically a waste of time because it is just meant for entertainment.

But it is a totally different feeling when you know a movie is pointless just from the trailer due to an impending reset.
The X-Men: Dark Phoenix has to be the oddest viewing experience ever with all this in mind.
Watching this trailer you just know that this film is the epitome of pointless. Disney is weeks away from purchasing 21st Century Fox, and at that point, the X-Men will reset and become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
So why does this movie matter? It doesn’t. It is like the last episode of a show that has been canceled. You know anything set up in it will never be resolved, so why should you even bother with it?
Plus, all I can think about is what must Beast smell like after standing in the rain like this?
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will hit theaters on June 7.
