Somehow it seems Stephen King has become the hottest property again. Have the 1980s made a comeback?

So far this year we’ve seen The Dark Tower and IT in theaters. Meanwhile, over on Netflix, we have Gerald’s Game and 1922.The latter I’ve never heard of, but it seems it was 131-page story King wrote.

The first trailer has hit for the film, and these are the King stories I enjoy the most. The quieter, more desolate his story, the better they are. Add in Thomas Jane – who I think is a highly underrated actor – and I’m in.

The amount of original content Netflix is producing is just mind-boggling to me, but more power to them.

1922 hits Netflix on Oct. 20.
