Need a quick way to promote Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales? Quick, put Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

As the fifth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean series prepares to hit theaters, the marketing pros at Disney came up with a way to make sure everyone would have it on their mind. Last week they had Johnny Depp spend some time in the amusement park ride that inspired the series.

Yeah… still not sure I’m that interested in seeing the film, but yeah, I would have loved to have seen him inside the ride. Maybe in his later years he can just do this for the fun of it.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters on May 26.
