Aquaman release date pushed back two months

Yet another change has come to the DC Extended Universe: The release date for Aquaman has been pushed back two months.

Before we all go off saying this is a sign of another disaster for the Dceu, it appears the move from Oct. 5, 2018 to Dec. 21, 2018 may have been motivated by Avatar 2 being pushed out of the year. This left a gap of no major films in that December at this time, so it may have been prime real estate to claim.

This isn’t anything like the rumors this week that The Batman is doing a page 1 rewrite, but with all the moves happening in the DCEU, director issues, scripting problems and so on, at this point you really do wonder who is running this whole thing at this point. As opposed to Marvel being run like a well-oiled machine, DC seems to be a completely scattershot event. Warner Brothers is behind the DCEU, so it isn’t like this is a studio with no experience.

Someday they’ll get it right… I hope.
