The Royal Cornwall Show 8th - 10th June 2006

I went with my friend Sue to the show on the friday. A baking hot day and I took over 200 Photographs and 30 short 30 second films of the animals. It is certainly the supreme County show including everything and anything, from cattle, Sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, pigeons, caged birds, dogs and rare breeds to flowers, agricultural machinery, new cars/lorries/tractors. Tents upon marquees featuring local produce, health and beauty, crafts, home interiors, farm produce, you name it and not to mention a lovely old steam fair, with proper merry go round, helter skelter, big wheel etc. Over 90 acres large and 120,00 people across the three days. Sue and I had a great time and we got very burnt from the sun!

So to the animals (they're the important ones!):

Champion Holstein

Even with the heat, there's still a chance for a quick lick and cuddle!

It's a family affair!

Hereford Bull

Ayrshire

Holstein

Charolais

Wow! Plus two more shows coming up in the next 6 weeks. The North Devon Show and The Okehampton County Show. Of course I'll be there and of course I'll be taking pictures. As for the cow situation in Devon there are none in the field (just got back to London from 4 weeks in Devon) so at the moment there are no new pictures to post. But I will be back soon for a look at the older photographs and other ones including sheep and cats!
