Have you ever Watched West World?  Its a series in which a pretend world is created.  The pretend world is built in a huge area covering many miles and its time is set back in the Wild West of America.  Some of the people are visitors from the real world and some are very realistic robots who look and act exactly like real people.  I watched the first season of it, but I couldn't watch the second because it suddenly got very ultra-left-wing weird, as if it was trying to make some kind of statement based on flawed politics.

Anyway, I got to thinking about this Fake world and I wondered how I would take to it if there was actually such a thing.  I can imagine I would never leave it, because there are no real consequences to actions there.  You can do whatever you want - rob, murder, fight, explore - you can even do nothing if you feel like it.  I would imagine that most people would start off with mundane experiences, but it wouldn't be long until they grew confident and started going mad.  The problem with going mad is that you get to experience yourself going mad.  You get to know what you're capable of.  That might either be exhilarating or terrifying.

Still, I wouldn't mind a fake world for a day or two.  I would be happy if all I could do in the fake world was eat a toasted sandwich and bounce a ball.
