Radio (featuring Kiss92 FM -- All The Great Songs In One Place)

Radio sounds somewhat old school as it has been around for ages like pencils, cameras, phonographs and typewriters. Thankfully, amidst great advancement in this information age, the internet has augmented the accessibility of radio without the need for antiquated devices.

While it might not sound as snazzy as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Napster, Pandora, SoundCloud, Spotify and YouTube Music, broadcasting by radio stations thrives on as a constant companion of motorists and anyone who tunes in.

Yes, rain or shine, you are in good company when you turn on the radio via the internet or using your grandparent's antique radio (you would need a world radio for overseas broadcast).

For contemporary music, Kiss92 FM is a cool station to hangout for "All the great songs in one place".

The following two poems on radio waves are for your rumination:

The Voice of the Universe
Radiating Love

Radio Waves
By Raymond Carver
(extract of the first stanza)

This rain has stopped, and the moon has come out.
I don’t understand the first thing about radio
waves. But I think they travel better just after
a rain, when the air is damp. Anyway, I can reach out
now and pick up Ottawa, if I want, or Toronto.
Lately, at night, I’ve found myself
becoming slightly interested in Canadian politics
and domestic affairs. But mostly it was their music
stations I was after. I could sit here in the chair
and listen, without having to do anything, or think.
I don’t have a TV, and I’d quit reading
newspapers. At night I turned on the radio.
