Hiking the Cola de Caballo

From the coast of Spain, we then headed back to the mountains. This time we went to Spain Pyrenees.

We hiked the Cola de Caballo trail in Ordesa Monte Perdido National Park. The route was the most popular one in the area.

It was a bit over 17km return journey.

The journey took us through valleys and several waterfalls.

Though a long walk, it was easy. The views of the mountains in the backdrop and waterfalls made it worth it.

No fish here.

More cascading waterfalls.

Gorgeous mountains.

Saw many eagles.

I am going to rear salmon right here..

If you bring a wetsuit, you could swim here.

If you got lost, don't worry, just follow the stream back to civilization.

Fresh mountain air. Somewhere far away from cows and sheeps.

Reaching the end of the trail.

Waterfall at the end of the route.

Yes, of course. We had to get into the water. It was piercing cold.

Grew two extra arms..

There were many other trails including actual mountain climbing.

Making our way back down.

If they provide a giant slide, that would be great.

Overall a very good trail with breathtaking views. If you bring wetsuit along, it would be a cooler experience.
