In other words don't sit around waiting for God to bless you. You are going to have to work for it. If you think about it you are the only way the universe knows itself. In other words you are the eyes and hands of God. The only way God will know there is a need is if you see it. The only way God can meet that need is if you meet it. We are each of us the miracle we have been waiting for but for most of us most of the time that miracle will not be for us. Rather it will be for another. Someone else may draw from that well of abundance and slake our thirst.
By the way, I am not saying that after you do something for others that you will get what you want when you want it. What I am saying is while you are in the midst of helping and encouraging others that something wonderful may happen. If you are like many, you may not even notice it. If you have been practicing an attitude of gratitude you will notice that you have been blessed later. Maybe even much, much later. Depends on how good you are at paying attention and being grateful. It has been said that chance favors the prepared observer. Another way to put it might be that good luck takes work.
Are you ready for your miracle? Are you prepared to receive it? It is doubtful that your miracle will come to you if you are alone in a cave or alone on a mountaintop. For most of us most of the time being alone is not a good place to receive a blessing or expect a miracle. Remember that man who found himself alone and pinned by a boulder? The only way he had to free himself was with a knife. Some might say he was lucky to have that knife but I don't think you want that kind of luck if you can help it. You are going to need to put yourself in a position to help someone in order for the universe to return the favor in way that might be a little more palatable.
