Flooding in Yorkshire

With all the Flooding around Yorkshire my family are are some of the lucky ones not to be devasted by all this, and after watching some of the scenes on tv and reading about it on the internet it seems strange that I'm sat writing this about 420 miles away in the Highlands of Scotland in Inverness on a warm, dry night after one of the sunniest days we've had in a while.

The picture shown is one my Dad took of Elsecar Park Bandstand surrounded by water and is just one of many on the BBC (South Yorkshire) webpage that people have sent in and this does beg the question of
"Where would we get this close up first hand footage and information from if it wasn't for mobile phones and digital cameras?"
