-Same-sex unions become law in Slovenia

Once again proveing to the world that America is stuck in the Dark Ages when countries like Slovenia, which we are taught are poor angry countries, beat us to the punch.

You would think that being the Richest Nation and also the Most powerful Nation we would have better civil rights laws and be more smart about how we treat our people.

-The measure allowing gay and lesbian couples to register their partnership went into effect Sunday, according to Belgrade's B92 radio station.

-Slovenia's gay and lesbian organizations, while welcoming the move as a concrete step, criticized the law as "insufficient," noting that it limits those attending the ceremonies to two partners and a local community registration official.

Well I guess it's not perfect but it is definately a huge leap in the right direction, especially where USA is concerned.
