We Can Stop Blaming Ourselves Now

Hi Peeps. My busy life has forced this blog to the back burner. I am still here though and will begin writing regularly again very soon. I hope you're all having a wonderful summer. You can see where I've been spending my time by visiting my Garden blog. There were a lot of changes that I needed to make in order to restore order to what was a sadly neglected garden. I'm happy to say things are much better now.

Yesterday, I happened upon this really Interesting article about the long-term biological effects of childhood trauma. We've known for a few decades now how psychologically debilitating an abusive childhood can be, but now, intrepid scientists are studying the biological factors and their findings are quite remarkable.

For those of us who had a rough go of it growing up, the news is incredibly interesting and encouraging. It has to do with our brains not regulating the stress hormone cortisol. You can read the article by clicking on the link.
