How to develop yourself

Self development is anything you do to better yourself. You should never try to Develop yourself to change the opinion of other people about you.
You must remember that you can only change if YOU want to and not if someone else wants you to. It is just like stop smoking. It is something that you have to decide. If someone else wants you to, you will never. It is your decision and yours alone!
The first step in to decide what you want to develop or change. One way of doing this is to make a list of all your “good” points and then make a list of all your “bad” or “not so good” points. If you’ve got some “bad” points, great!
Why do I say “great”? Because if you see yourself as perfect, you will not be able to change because where do you change to? To become a better person you must realise that we all have flaws. No one is perfect, not even me!
Now, next to the “bad” points write the behaviour that you wish you had. This is what you are going to concentrate on.
Lets take an example!
No patience – Patience.
Look at things such as: gratitude, thanksgiving, forgiveness, anger, happiness, procrastination, confidence, concentration, etc. Actually anything that you are not good at.
Next to that write the actions that you have to take to get to your goal – to be more patient.
 EX:
I will let people finish talking before I interfere. I will see every person as important because every person in my life is there for a reason. If I cannot say something nice, I will keep my trap close.
Get the picture?
Do this with all the behaviour that you want to change. Keep track of your emotions. Watch yourself. Use topics like Affirmations, The Secret, Goal setting, Law of Attraction, Relaxation, Prayer, even changing your Belief System, Ho oponopono, etc
Remember: Be the better person in your own eyes and not to please someone else. Because you cannot keep up with the ideas other people have of you.
Just be the best you, you can be.
