Football Saturday in Hawaii

Aloha Everyone,
Today started off pretty wet. Some pretty good showers fell today. Then it got a little bit hot,but them cool tradewinds came a blowing. This day is usually the day most football type guys, those that like football and those that bet on football.Including the regular diehard Hawaii Fans.Get ready to enjoy the many pleasures of college football. Most Hawaii people get prepped for the University of Hawaii games every Saturday rain or shine. In regards to even thinking of going to the game and prior to the trip to the stadium, they have to plan what's on the menu, as well as what time they heading to the best spot to park. Just to bust-out all the gear they need to enjoy  themselves throughout the whole time there. That means going to the store and buying all the provisions and firewater to enjoy the company of friends and family.Talking story with buddies and just grinding all the potluck goodies people bring to eat. Some getting so wasted the can't even make it to the game.Football here is a pretty enjoyable endeaver for alot of Hawaii people. In Hawaii there is no real professional type franchise team, like on the continental United States. That's way the U.H. is the next closest thing we have to get excited about. It's hard for teams in the mainland that play here because it cost alot of money to get here and we just don't have the kind of stadium sales saturation to support most teams. Also most come to Hawaii to enjoy themselves, as if they are in a polynesian paradise type fun place, not a place to seriously play football and lose on top of that. That would truly be shameful for their programs, back in the U.S.Yet most of the high-school kids that come from around the islands are good enough to play college ball and reach for their very own twinkling NFL Star.We have a samoan boy for Kalihi named Alualu who plays for Jacksonville Jaguars. He was just drafted this year.He is an outstanding defensive football player who was raised in a low income project called KPT, in one of the roughest places to live on the island.Besides being a good person, the young man has a good heart and said he is going to help the community from which he came.He just made about 10 million dollars for his services,so I suppose Mr. Alualu will take-care.What a great story this young man will be able to tell to all those that want to know how to acheive success in their own lives.Just goes to show you anything is really possible in life... even in a small island like this.  ALOHA!!!
