The New Hawaii Five-O Series

Aloha Everyone,
Tonight at 9o'clock p.m. the new 5-0 series was playing on TV ,it was I think the 3rd episode airing so far. Most of the people watching at home here recognize the many local actors and the many scene locations shown throughout the show. It's funny listening to the different takes on the local languages spoken also some of the local slurs. Most of the new actors are still green in regards to really portraying that kick-back local style that was evident with alot of the old 5-0 cast. Most of the actors in the old show from some 30 years ago, are now deceased.Yet they did a major acting job for local people who really didn't have Hollywood type training before. The original Hawaii 5-0 had The good old "Steve McGarret",who used to be from the television show "Stoney Burke" played by Jack Lord.He was so dramatic, that I thought it was funny. It seems to me that he truly ran that show with an Iron Fist. It's like everything was centered around his dramatic acting and everyone else had minor silly parts. What made that show was the music and the big wave as it's identity shown at the beginning and the ending of the show.Of course the beautiful locations around the islands, and the local talent was fun to see.The show itself was pretty cheesy.I read some of the reviews, and listened to what people here thought about the new show. Some enjoyed it,some thought that the lead guy sucks and some thought that the show needs more action and less talking and arguing between Dano and McGarret. So I suppose it's a mixed bag of criticism, that needs a few more episode to play before people actually give it a thumps up or down.I know the local  assistant casting agent for the show, and have done extra work on different local production shows before and thought that I might try out for an extra part. The food is really good, and the pay is OK for just standing around as an extra.Unless you get a speaking part then you can make at least over $500.00 dollars. What's really great is the new show with it's High Definition capability can really show the Hawaiian scenery in all it's spectacular splendor and that is worth a million in publicity to all the businesses in Hawaii. So you know what you got to do "Just Book-em Dano"!!!!    ALOHA!!
