Aloha Everyone,
Sorry for not writing things in my blog for a few days,I was busy ....OK!!That's no excuse I know, but it is the only answer I have for neglecting my public.Ha!Ha! just like real.
Anyway today was absolutely gorgeous outside with good stiff tradewinds blowing thru the house and plants outside. It was really nice and cool.
As the title of this piece says,things are Happening here lately.
First of all,Hawaiian Airlines is being pretty aggresive with it's new flying destinations.They are like flying straight into Tokyo,next month.Then they are promoting flying to South Korea from Hawaii shortly ,as well.You could've bought Hawaiian Airline stock a few years ago for pennies on the dollar and even then nobody wanted to invest,it was so bad.Good Luck for them I hope they continue their prosperous ways,but no-forget to drop the price on the inter-island fares,so we can all see our ohana on the other islands.Wishful thinking I know.
Another good thing thats happening is the" University of Hawaii Football Warriors" are doing really well.They just spanked Fresno in California,after beating Louisiana Tech here at home ,and the Nevada Wolfpack is coming to town this Saturday, for a game.Hawaii has beat them a few times previously,maybe six times ,out of ten times playing amongst each other.Nevada has a 6-0 record this year and Hawaii is 4-2.So it should be a killa game,especially the way Uof H has played lately,including Hawaii has home field advantage
.Another sad thing happening, is there is going to be a total ban of fireworks,including sparklers and kiddie kind fountains starting Jan.2nd of 2011.The county council has approved the use of 5,000 Tau fire-crackers and thats all that people will be able to purchase and play with for 4th of July and New Years.Of course the permit to purchase the fire-crackers will be $25.00 per 5,000 Tau amount.New Years in Hawaii will never be the same,the funny part is" Class B" and most of the "Class C" fireworks have been illegal for years and people still went fire-works crazy.It's just a big Joke.
The North Shore winter surf is ready to erupt,ready to pound all those that challenge it's monsterous walls.The winter birds from the mainland will flock to the country to see the waves unfold, at all the famous beach breaks.The traffic out there should be horrendous as usual,leaving the locals to do, what all the surfers do down there anyway and that is to" Pray forSurf."
Lastly the most disturbing thing is that the November General Election is almost upon us and we have to elect a new" Governor " for our state.Nobody really cared much for the old "Governor",she has exhausted her term. So we have to endure all the campaigning and mud-slinging these new candidates have to offer us. As if these guys will really change the island landscape with their forked tongues.Please!!!
Change and action is truly in the air and it smells oh so good.
