Aging and the joy of little moments

I find that the older I get, the more I appreciate the joy of little moments. Having a hug with my Dear Wife, for example. (JoAnn puts no limits on how many hugs I am allowed in a day:-).

Watching a bunny stretch himself out in all his glory under the shade of a rock, or perhaps take shelter under the beautiful blue spruce tree outside our porch.

Admiring this large, beautiful tree.

Listening to the cries of delight and earnest conversations of small children at play.

Going for a walk in the early morning, when the air is fresh, and the birds are singing, or perhaps in the afternoon, or, to be honest, any other time. I’m British, after all.

Watching the ever-changing tapestry and majesty of the sky.

Vacuuming our house, thus earning a credit or two from my Dear wife.

I could go on. My point is, though, that if we have found a measure of happiness and thankfulness in our lives then no matter what our age, it doesn’t take much to make us even happier:-).

My love to you all and if you would like to share a thought re the above please do write.
