Robins come and go, but love is here to stay

Tags: robins love trail

Four or five days ago, out walking on my favorite Trail, some trees bordering the trail and a stream flowing happily by, I saw my first Robins of the year. There were about half-a-dozen of them. Robins are my favorite birds, so naturally I stopped to look at them, and admire them. Most of them kept on looking for food, but two stared right back at me, as if saying, "Do we know you?"

"Hooray," I thought, spring really is here. But Colorado does what Colorado wants to do, and I was not entirely surprised when a day or so later snow fell overnight, the weather turned cold, and when I went looking for my robins, there were no robins to be seen anywhere. (Does anyone know where robins go when they suddenly disappear like that:-)?

Yes, spring comes and goes, robins come and go, winter comes and goes, and, of course, our own lives come and go. What splendid news, then, that back of all the things that come and go in this world--back of our fears and sorrows, our joys and triumphs--back of anything that is occurring on the world stage--there abides within us a source of happiness, joy and peace that is untouched and unharmed by anything of this outer world.

We are not the transient, helpless creatures we sometimes think we are. We are Beings of Love, born not of earth but of spirit, with a critical part to play in these critical times. My love and blessings to you.
