I’ve been back from the holidays a few weeks and finally getting back into the swing of things. It was a white Christmas, New Year and January in the US, which added a peaceful layer to an otherwise hectic time.

In exciting news, A and I had a small Engagement party in Cleveland. It was really fun to celebrate our engagement with a party. It had felt like our little secret for so long – even though it wasn’t – being so far away from our families and friends. Although it was really special to keep the glitter on our engagement for a bit longer.

Since we plan to get married almost immediately upon landing back in the US, we’re planning from afar and couldn’t be calmer about it. We’ll write vows, I’ll find a dress in a week and it will be so special and intimate to have our parents, siblings and grandparents witness our wedding. Perfect.

As for now I’m making lists and setting goals. Only 3 months left of our time in South Africa and there is still so much I want to do. I have personal goals, writing goals, travel goals… I’m off to make my lists!
