A public interest group is suing the city of Detroit over voter roll problems. There are 2,500 dead people, 4,700 duplicates, and 16,000 more registered voters than there are eligible adults to vote in Detroit. One of these registered voters was born in 1823. Last week, the same group discovered 5,000 non-citizens registered to vote in Virginia and at least 1,800 of these voted in the last election.

Detroit Representative, Rashida Talib, our train wreck in Washington posted a Tweet on Thursday. In response to two blacks on a murderous rampage targeting Jews and killing 4, Talib wrote, “White Supremacy kills.” This was long after it was well known the killers were not white. After a backlash about political manipulation, she deleted the Tweet.

Four months ago, the Detroit Police’s Internal Affairs Offices raided the Narcotics Unit. They uncovered corruption of: planting evidence, lying to prosecutors to get search warrants, robbing drug dealers, improper certification of informants, and embezzling funds. Detroit Police Chief Craig soliciting help from the Michigan State Police and FBI after the raid revealed far more criminal corruption than anticipated.

• A Detroiter shot two of his relatives, 69-year-old Vietnam Veteran, Anthony Foster and 41-year-old Devon Gillard. The suspect is 44-year-old Sylvester Denard Gilmore who was arrested and charged with their murder.
• Canadian Authorities seized over 110 pounds of cocaine on the Blue Water Bridge to Port Huron.
• Detroit Police are seeking tips for a shooting at a banquet hall on Plymouth Road near the Southfield Freeway, leaving two injured suspects.
• Detroit DDOT bus drivers have endured a string of recent attacks. One driver was beaten after a man forced his way onto her bus. Although many of these attacks are caught on camera, the suspects are almost never identified, let alone prosecuted.
• The suspect in a double homicide of two women in Redford opened fire at Detroit Police officers near Van Dyke and Schoolcraft when they confronted him. He was killed when the officers returned fire.
• A pickup truck driving the wrong-way on the Lodge Freeway in Detroit smashed into a BMW, then ricocheted into a Kia sedan. All of the drivers had to be cut out of their vehicles by the Detroit Fire Department. The BMW driver is in critical condition, the other just suffered minor injuries.
