Detroit’s Cantrell and Boone Funeral Home has such deplorable conditions that Michigan’s Dept. of Licensing fined them $115,000 and revoked their licenses for 10 years! The funeral home is also being investigated for failing to escrow pre-paid funeral services, so they are also fraudsters.
In political sleazebag news, the 7 members of the Warren City Council unanimously voted themselves free lifetime health and dental insurance. Just weeks before they were to be term limited, without putting it on the agenda or calculating the cost or the funding – they just grabbed money for themselves and their dependents. Thankfully, the Warren Mayor says their actions violated state law and will fight it. He called it “Unconscionable beyond my wildest imaginations.”

- Twin brothers were sentenced to 30 years in prison for beating and shooting an employee at a Detroit Coney Island because they didn’t sell fried mushrooms. They beat him with a metal pipe and then shot him in the face, unbelievably, the victim survived.
- A Detroit man was fatally stabbed and shot during a home invasion. He lived on Santa Rosa and the two perpetrators forced their way in at 1pm. Neighbors suspect he owed the thugs money.
- Two Detroit women sitting on a couch at a party were shot by rifle fire in a drive-by shooting by McNichols and Telegraph; both are listed in critical condition.
- On E. 7 Mile Road, three people leaving a restaurant were all injured in a drive-by shooting, all are listed in temporary serious condition.
- A Detroit man and woman were arrested in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old KaBria Arnold a few days ago. The man was KaBria’s ex-boyfriend.
