The Detroit Medical Center has done the impossible – they have lost their accreditation for neurosurgery. There were 4 allegations that were investigated by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education and what they discovered was so egregious that they chose to revoke their accreditation. Any of their current residents must transfer to another school and program to get a medical license. The allegations include: working more than the maximum allowable hours of 80 per week, bullying and intimidation, and coercion to keep quiet about any wrongdoing.
When gang members from other states get in trouble, they flee to lawless Detroit to hide. A New York gang member fugitive was just arrested in Detroit after the local news highlighted him in a Most Wanted segment. Christian Gonzalez had threatened to kill his girlfriend at knifepoint.

- Authorities are trying to identify the remains of a body torched in a car on Detroit’s east side.
- Two masked men entered a Detroit bar, fired warning shots into the ceiling and robbed the cash register and assorted bottles of liquor. Both were armed and wore hoodies and masks.
- A 20-year-old woman’s body was discovered in the street with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of Pilgrim and Bentler.
- 3 members of the Bloods gang beat and robbed a 17-year-old. Thinking he had disrespected them, one of them carved “MOB 662” into his chest with a knife; representing the Members of Bloods. The 37-year-old from Canton that did it plead guilty and may face up to 20 years in prison.
