Detroit City Councilman was caught on FBI wiretaps extorting businesses for bribes. His corruption trial is scheduled for January.
Speaking of corruption, in 2014, the Detroit Police disbanded a narcotics squad because of corruption. However, even a recent large drug seizure had been “replaced” before it went to trial. This started a new investigation that resulted in arrests of officers. Some of the 2014 police crew was found guilty of shaking down dealers and taking bribes to avoid arresting dealers.
Tee Grizzley is a successful rapper from Detroit. His was driving with his aunt on 3 Mile Road when shots were fired from an unknown direction. His aunt died from multiple gunshots at the hospital, police have no leads.

- Detroit Police are searching for a triple shooting suspect. He was let into a home on Robson Street and began shooting in a home invasion. A man and woman in their 20s were shot in the face and another man was killed after multiple gunshot injuries.
- Detroit Police are trying to identify a woman shot in the head who was discovered in a vacant home on Cedargrover Street. She is at the hospital in extremely critical condition.
- DEA officials are searching for 32-year-old Jose Gonzalez-Herrera for cocaine trafficking in Detroit.
- Detroit Police are searching for Robert Mario-Louis Williams for a long list of felonies, starting with 3 violent domestic assaults, felony firearms, and resisting and obstructing police.
- A 57-year-old Detroiter was stabbed to death at 5pm on Goddard, witnesses say the suspect fled in a silver minivan.
- Several Detroit families are upset that former Governor Snyder commuted the prison sentences of 7 Detroit murderers before he left office.
