UAW Union VP, Norwood Jewell, was just sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for accepting bribes (around $95,000) in exchange for favorable treatment toward Fiat Chrysler Motoes.
A natural gas explosion leveled a Detroit home on Haverhill, 8 fire companies responded. DTE tested all of their equipment at the home and found everything working normally. Luckily, there were no injuries. A witness said he heard a noise, saw the windows being blown out and then the home collapsed to the ground.
32-year-old Kevin Hall is facing 14 felonies. What did he do? Just the usual: armed robbery, carjacking, and fleeing from police. He carjacked a main at a Kroger at 5-Mile and Merriman in Livonia. Hall has a long felony record (plus he was arraigned outside of Detroit), so he was given no bail.

- A Detroit man who lost a game of dice by Joy Rd. left and then returned with a gun, shooting the winner multiple times; thankfully, he survived his injuries and is listed in stable condition.
- Detroit Police are searching for 3 carjackers of a luxury SUV at gunpoint on Gratiot at 7:40pm.
- A security guard is in temporary serious condition after being shot by a man he was escorting out of a Detroit building on W. McNickols.
- A Family Dollar store was robbed on E. Jefferson by two armed men.
- There were 2 unrelated shootings within an hour on Monday: one on 8 Mile Rd in a drive-by and another man in critical condition after being shot in the stomach by Livernois and Tireman.
- A 32-year-old Detroiter, former convict Timothy Hill, was just arrested for open murder for shooting a man multiple times after an argument.
