In this week’s Detroit Mayor Duggan corruption news, the Michigan Attorney General is investigating allegations that city employees were ordered to delete e-mails related to Duggan’s mistress’s non-profit, called “Make Your Date.“ The non-profit educations on prenatal treatment and has received nearly $400,000 from Detroit under Mayor Duggan.
Kennedy Shannon worked for Detroit’s Office of Grant Management. When Shannon told her superiors about illegal (gov’t calls them non-compliant) payments for a Motor City Grant program, as well as Make Your Date program – she was admonished, suspended, and then fired. Shannon just filed a Whistleblower Lawsuit against the city over her termination.
The Detroit non-profit, RecoveryPark, has been robbed 3 times in a 6 day period. The non-profit maintains open areas and grows specialty produce for local restaurants. The thieves stole over $25,000 worth of equipment and tools.

- A 56-year-old man is in critical condition after being attacked by 3 pit bulls. Everyone in the neighborhood is afraid of the loose dogs and aggressive pit bulls running around. One mother leaving nearby says, “I tell my kids not to walk around too much here, I tell them to be careful walking to the gas station.” Yeah, instead of calling Animal Control – you just tell children to watch out for pit bulls – nice…
- A 24-year-old Detroiter with a long history of rapes and assault highlights Detroit judges with low bail putting people in danger. Daryl Edwards shot two people, stabbed one and injured another – but low bail kept allowing Edwards to create violent victims – his last arrest for assault only assigned bail of $2,500
- Detroit police are searching for a gunman on the Jeffries Freeway by Livernois who shot another driver.
- A 34-year-old man was shot by Ferguson and 7 Mile Road after an argument over cigarettes.
- 34-year-old Detroiter, Deangelo Martin is being charged with several rapes along with serial murderer charges.
- Two men were carjacked at separate Detroit incidents last last, one at a gas station on Kercheval and the other was a stop sign at Winston and Grand River, south of 7 Mile Road.
- Scott Kawatz, living in Boca Raton Florida, plead guilty to IRS fraud. He and his partners used stolen Detroit Police Records to obtain car crash victim information for identity theft as part of their scam.
