Detroit Realities #802

A crew of 3 men with masks and gloves have broken into two separate Detroit businesses this week. First, they rammed a U-haul truck into a Comerica branch (after hours), but weren’t able to get any money. The second time they used crow bars to pry their way into a retail store, after hours.

An 18-year-old Detroiter, having prom photos taken in front of a home on Doris Street, was shot by a man who complained about them standing by his home, and then fled. The 18-year-old is in temporary serious condition. Police are asking the public to help identify the shooter.

And finally, in “It is a Darwin move to be anywhere near Detroit” news,

  • A 35-year-old Detroiter got into cab near Woodward and shot the cab driver in the back of the head several times. The shooter is being charged with 1st Degree Murder.
