Two men from Macomb County are facing up to 5 years in prison for trying to scam their way out of paying court-ordered Child Support payments. The mother filed a claim after he refused to pay and immediately started leaving very threatening voice messages to drop the claim. Then, the father had a friend get a fake driver’s license to take the DNA test, so it wouldn’t match. The child’s mother and police detectives pieced together the scam and criminal charges were filed against the two men, Kenneth May and Marki Houston.

A 34-year-old woman was arrested in Warren for disturbing the peace at a Cricket Wireless store and then assaulting employees at a Burger King. She had asked for no-tomatoes the prior day at the drive-through window, and wanted a cash refund. They offered credit plus replacing the sandwich, but she went on a tirade, throwing food at the clerk’s face and trying to get over the counter but her fiancé held her back.

The FBI is beginning an investigation into self-dealing by the Wayne County Treasurer with property tax auction irregularities. Eric Sabree has been the Treasurer for just 2 years.

Detroit celebrity attorney, Mike Morse, has had a few problems and now he is facing off with another Detroit celebrity attorney, Geoffrey Fieger. Fieger is representing at least 2 women who allege sexual assault while working at the Morse law firm. This is an addition to Morse being charged with bribing police officials to get access to accident reports and his sister being charged with money laundering.

The trial is underway about an incident at Detroit Receiving Hospital last summer. A mentally ill and naked woman was being escorted inside for evaluation. When officers tried to restrain her, she became irate, yelling and spit at Officer Dewayne Jones. In response, video shows Jones punching the woman in the face 13 times – while hospital staff say she wasn’t a physical threat to anyone.

• Just north of Detroit in Clawson, 59-year-old Christopher Keen was charged with 2 counts of criminal sexual conduct. He is a dance teacher and more of his former students are coming forward alleging sexual abuse.
• A 21-year-old mother was angry with her boyfriend and put eye drops in his orange juice. Unknowingly, he did not drink it but gave some to their children who became sick. Ingesting eye drops constricts blood vessels that lead to: high blood pressure, drowsiness, difficulty breathing, reduced heart rate and even coma. The mother, Arrieana Yednock, was charged with poisoning food.
• A man pulled up to two young women sitting in a car on Detroit’s Begole St. when he started firing shots at both of them. An 18-year-old woman was injured.
• A man in his 30s was killed in a Detroit Hit & Run on Linwood and a 77-year-old was killed in a Hit & Run crossing McNichols in Detroit.
• An 18-year-old was killed after he and some friends heard shots fired at Linwood and Glendale.
