Livernois Collision, a Detroit car repair shop was charged with running scams: Inflating insurance repairs, fraudulent insurance repairs, and bribing Detroit Police offers to funnel abandoned or stolen cars to the shop. The cars would be stripped to fraudulently charge the insurance companies for the “missing parts.” They would then put the original parts back to “complete” the repair.
The investigation was discovered in a Detroit Police extortion investigation where 5 officers recently plead guilty.
Former Macomb County Clerk, Karen Spranger, has been a calamity since her election in 2016. She was ousted after it was determined she lied on her election application, but not before disrupting and antagonizing the Clerk’s office resulting in many lawsuits. A warrant was just issued for her arrest for assault and embezzlement from a woman she was caregiving.
A second woman is suing Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon. Sgt. Tanicka Jones has worked at the Wayne County Jail for 19 years. She had a high-risk pregnancy and they refused to allow her light duty to avoid trauma to her abdomen from working with violent jail inmates.

- Detroit Police are seeking two young men who mugged a man at a bus stop at 5pm during a weekday.
- A 29-year-old was wounded from gunfire while walking out of a White Castle on Detroit’s west side and is listed in temporary-serious condition.
- Two people were shot and one was killed in 2 separate incidents Sunday night. A 28-year year old was killed by 7 Mile Rd. and Southfield Rd. A 32-year-old woman was injured while walking to her car; she heard gunshots and realized that she was shot.
- Two older men got into a fight on Clements St. in Detroit, a 65-year-old man ended up stabbing and killing a 54-year-old man and was arrested.
- A 33-year-old man was killed while sitting with his girlfriend in a car on Chalmers by E. Outer Drive. An assailant approached their car, shooting and killing the man and then fled.
- Detroiter Decharlos Brooks was sentenced to 60 years in prison for fatally shooting Detroit Police Officer when responding to a 911 call for a domestic dispute.
- Detroit Police Chief Craig said yesterday, “Project Green Light played a role in an attempted kidnapping on Detroit’s southwest side.”
