New Detroit Congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib, is being investigated for illegally paying herself $45,500 from her campaign fund, including $17,500 after the elections and any payments were supposed to have stopped. She received $225,180 from George Soros throughout 2016 and 2017. Also, just like her congressional colleague Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib lied about her residence and voted from a false address in which she did not reside.
44-year-old Detroiter Nathan Holmes was attacked by 3 masked men, he was treated at an urgent care facility and released. Three days later, he was discovered shot to death in his home. He was starting his own marijuana hydroponics business; Detroit Police have no leads.
A Wayne County Jail Deputy complained about daily sexual harassment. She complained to her supervisor’s supervisor and a union grievance – but they only retaliated against her. She has been a deputy for 20 years and said she ran out of options, and filed a lawsuit.
Potholes are bad in Macomb County, one of the worst roads is Schoenherr near the Mall and one chuckhole damaged one driver’s 4 month old car. The suspension was wrecked and the frame was bent, in addition to a blown tire and bent rim. His insurance company says his rate will go up $400 when he renews it. The county is responsible for the maintenance of Schoenherr.

Detroit District Judge Brenda Sanders was removed from the bench in 2015 and the Supreme Court ruled she was mentally unfit to serve. She was replaced by Auxiliary Judge Kahillia Davis. Davis didn’t show up to work for months, when she did, her rulings were so erratic that she was removed from hearing any more cases. Davis has been filing lawsuits against the 36th District Court, and now the head judge has issued an order forbidding Davis to bring a weapon to work and she must go through the metal detector (so I presume Davis has made a threat). So she is unfit to work, unfit to handle a weapon at work – how is she still being paid $138,000 a year??
Former Macomb County Clerk, Karen Spranger, has been a calamity since her election in 2016. She was ousted after it was determined she lied on her election application, but not before disrupting and antagonizing the Clerk’s office resulting in many lawsuits. A warrant was just issued for her arrest for assault and embezzlement from a woman she was caregiving.

- Surveillance cameras caught a man in Westland breaking into a home in Westland at 11am. He stole everything he could stuff into the owner’s duffle bag – jewelry, electronics, and more; but also took the time to eat a bowl of cereal before riding off on his bike.
- A Detroit Police officer, Diamond Greenwood and her brother are facing multiple charges for brandishing a firearm and her brother fired the gun at people (no one was hit). Her brother has a previous charge of First-Degree Murder a few years ago but was found not-guilty.
- A 35-year-old Detroiter was shot in the leg while sitting in his car in his own driveway. A man approached from the street and began firing shots. The victim refused to go to the hospital.
- A few miles north of Detroit, an illegal immigrant was arrested for running an unlicensed dental practice out of his basement, a possible 4-year felony
- Detroit Police are searching for a man who grabbed a 5-year-old girl playing in her backyard when her sister yelled, he ran off.
- Two men in a sedan were approached at a stop sign by two young men in hoodies by Joy Rd. and the Southfield Fwy. The suspects announced a robbery and the driver sped away, but not before the suspects fired shots, killing one and wounding a passenger.
- Just up Greenfield Rd. from Detroit, a white man in a hoodie robbed a Huntington Bank.
