MADISON, Ind. (WISH) — The leader of a southern Indiana motorcycle Gang was sentenced to 120 years in prison for killing a rival gang member in 2021.

Michael “Billy Goat” Karnuth, of North Vernon, received 60 years for the murder of Dustin “Kutter” Lindner, of Georgetown, Kentucky, and an additional 60 years on a criminal gang enhancement, Jefferson County Prosecutor David Sutter announced Thursday.

Karnuth, president of the Heavy Hitters chapter of the Warlocks biker gang, shot Lindner, a member of the Pagans gang, in the chest during a shootout in June 2021.

Prosecutors say Lindner was shot while Karnuth and members of the Warlocks were confronting a man they believed was displaying patches and tattoos of the motorcycle gangs while not being a member.
