Welcome to Malaysia (by Abdul Rahman)

Malaysia is a country famous for its beautiful nature, attractive islands, delicious variety of foods and multi ethnicities. Everybody probably knows the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. I hope nobody thinks that Kuala Lumpur is the only interesting and beautiful city in Malaysia. To break this stereotype, I would like to say some facts about Malaysia.

Malaysia comprises 13 states and it is divided into two parts, eastern and western. The country is called "truly Asia" because here you can see Chinese, Indians, Malays and other Asian nationalities and not to mention their traditional foods. Travellers won't have to worry of where or what do to in Malaysia as here one can find basically everything. If you are a shopaholic, you can stay in Kuala Lumpur as there are lots of shopping malls selling clothes and stuffs from inside and outside of Malaysia in the capital. If you want to swim and enjoy the sandy beaches, you can go to Kedah (Pulau Langkawi), Terengganu (Pulau Perhentian), Sarawak (Damai Beach) and Sabah (Pulau Sipadan). These states have beautiful islands and beaches. If you enjoy observing exotic animals and plants, you can go to Sarawak (Bako National Park), Sabah (where we have a reserved forest to keep monkeys, snakes and other animals).

The people here are friendly and they accept tourists with smiles and hand shake. It is easy to travel here as most Malaysians can speak English especially in big cities.
