There has been a frantic amount of activity going on this month in preparation for the publication of our first book. Photo shoots--cover design--formatting--Amazon page--media strategy.
We’re also building a website to support our new roles as authors and that’s another can of monsters. We’ve been working diligently with our designer team to envision the layout of the site, create a logo, write content, and decide on the format of a new blog.
Yes, at the end of the month eddsaid is going away. I’ve struggled mightily with this decision. We’ve shared together so many incredible experiences over the past decade, haven’t we?
The crazy truth is, although we may have never met, you probably know us better than many of your closest friends and relatives. You’ve been with Cynthia and me on our entire journey, and your interest and support have been the primary reason the blog has continued this long.
I’m sure this announcement comes as a surprise, but please don’t be sad. While the new blog will have a different name and a somewhat new direction, you-know-who is not going anywhere. And the good news is Cynthia will be moving from the background into a fully collaborative role with the writing.
It’s all really going to be great and we’re totally energized. You can soon look forward to some funny stories about how this has all come together because, trust me, even though we’ve been working and planning for months things haven’t always gone smoothly as we’ve entered the execution stage. Like trying to shoot the cover of “Leap of Faith” decked out in those safari outfits in front of the New Cathedral right when mass was letting out.
We most definitely want you to join us on our latest adventure. The new website and blog are still under construction, so even if we’ve corresponded over the years, please send us your email address to [email protected] and we’ll make sure you are subscribed.
