5 Ways to Make Your Small Bathroom Better

Collaborative Post

Having a small Bathroom is challenging. Trying to make all of your stuff fit in a tiny space is just like working on a ginormous crossword puzzle. However, since bathrooms are essential, it is still a good idea to build one (no matter how small it is) where it is needed.

If you have a small bathroom, don’t worry. There are ways on how to make the most out of it and make it look Bigger, better, and more beautiful. Here is a list of the things that you may do in order to make your small bathroom better.

Choose the right colors

Dark colors make a room look smaller. Avoid combining dark walls and light colored tiles because they also make the space visually smaller. If you want some contrast, you may use a light fixture or a cabinet. That way, it will stand out as a feature and make everything else blend together.

Also, it is ideal to use the same color when painting your walls and ceiling. When it comes to choosing the color for your tiles, it is good to use one that blends with the color of your wall. That way, your bathroom will appear bigger.

Go for big mirrors

Big mirrors can make your bathroom look and feel grander. Install lighting either on top or in front of it and see how it makes the small space look bigger.

It is also ideal to place your mirrors across from a window within the bathroom. This strategy will make it seem like there are two windows in the same area!

Allow more natural light into your home

Natural light in a bathroom is ideal. It will make your bathroom look bigger, brighter, and welcoming. If you want to create privacy, it is recommended to use tone-on-tone stained glass windows. You may also cover your windows with a translucent shade. Covering your windows with shutters or dark-colored covering will make the room smaller.

Don’t have bathroom windows? No problem! You may consider having a skylight to bring natural light into your bathroom space.

Use clear glass in the shower

Textured glass makes shower cabins look like they have an extra wall. Clear glass is desirable for showers because they allow the light to get in and won’t be a visual barrier within the bathroom.

Recess cabinets and shampoo shelves into the walls

Do you have linen cabinets or shampoo shelves that stick out into the space? No problem. You may bury them into the wall to save space. Doing so will require you to re-frame the walls in the chosen area, but that’s fine because it’s worth it!

Here’s another tip to make your small bathroom better. Mount a towel bar on your shower door. It will save you a lot of time as it makes the towel handy. It is also a good idea to mount a faucet on the wall because it allows for a narrower vanity or sink and a bigger bathroom space.
