Walking around town

Graffiti at the Bolton Camp – Reminds me of Slimer

Last weekend’s walk, we stuck around town. We walked around the Bolton Camp area trails. It was our first time in the camp. It must have been pretty awesome in its heyday. First off, it is a massive area (over 250 acres!) with several large buildings and a dozen or so smaller cabins (the video said there were/are 68 buildings!). They are all boarded up now and in disarray. It looked like the TRCA went through the area recently and cut down a ton of trees. The tree cutting seemed somewhat arbitrary to us. There was (we think) a pool and activity areas all over. The camp is in an incredible area surrounded by forest right in Bolton’s backyard. It was nice to read the area is owned by the TRCA. I’m sure we’ll walk in the again. It was a long walk. I set a new step count high of over 12k. The dog sure was tired.

Somewhere in there is a dog

This weekend we are driving up to Ottawa for a few days. More on this later.

Sabres continue to self-destruct. What a sad season it has been.
