Well… After a long ten years of mediocrity, TFC played in their first final last weekend. Bdot and I went over to KK’s to watch the game which a bunch of their friends their kids. It was a frustrating game for a TFC fan. They controlled the play for most of regular time – I think the Sounders didn’t even get a shot on net. TFC had a bunch of chances and simply couldn’t convert. The Sounders nullified Gio – who I thought was pretty invisible during the playoffs. And when the Sounders were really pressed Frei, TFC’s ex-goalie made the big save. So it was off to the random shootout. I do hate the shootout. Even if TFC had won, I think it is a shit way to end a championship game in a team sport. Bradley’s kick was brutal and Marrow kicked it off the crossbar to give the Sounders a shot for the win, which they made. Just a frustrating game of what ifs. Watching the game with screaming children (mostly young loud girls) lost its luster pretty quickly too. Ugh. Hopefully they can keep form and get back to that game. The fan support looked great.

What a great quote from the General.

The General.

Toronto, I’m sorry. Sorry we couldn’t give you the perfect ending. The ending that every single one of you deserved. Sports can be cruel. Not for the faint of heart. And Saturday night was the perfect example. We left our hearts and souls on the field. For each other. For you. For the city. And just like that it was over. Dreams shattered. Tears shed. But its not finished. It doesn’t end like this. I landed in Toronto on a cold night almost three years ago. Ready to give you everything. And believe me when I say I have. And then some. I’ve made mistakes. Plenty of them. But always with one thing in mind. To give you the team you deserve and nights you’d never forget. If there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way it’s that it wouldn’t be Toronto if it came too easy. The pain and heartbreak of the last two days have made one thing very clear. I’ve never been more proud to call TFC my club and Toronto my home. Together our time will come. #AllForOne

We got out first significant snowfall. I shoveled three times and now my back is feeling it.

Bdot has the house all decorated – it feels really festive here!

Yes the top is real wood

My desk is finally dry and I love all the space. I still love the look.
