My son and I then made our way to Rasputin’s and they had the CD I’ve been wanting, Bob Dylan’s 30th Anniversity, for only $3.95. What luck! That made its way home too.

Then when I got home and went to Facebook, this was the first thing I saw:

Good-Bye to the Old, Hello to the New – “You’ve finished one part of your life, and now a new and even better part is beginning.”

We are in a time of great change! This is happening in all facets: physically, emotionally, and mentally. We are not the same people we were 10 years ago or even one year ago. This is causing much turmoil in our lives as we leave behind what does not resonate with who we are and who we are becoming; and that includes jobs, friends, relationships, etc. Some are being called to move to a new home or even a new area. Some feel called to change careers as their old one is no longer in alignment with who they now are. People are leaving our lives to be replaced with new friends and relationships that are more suited to who we are at this point on our journey. There will be many who will be in disbelief about what is taking place. There will be many who will try to hold onto the way of life they are used to. There are many who will find it hard to let go of relationships and people and jobs that no longer serve them; but, all will find in time that there won’t be a lot of choice in what remains in, and what leaves, our lives.

In order to welcome in the new, we must say goodbye to the old; and as long as we are hanging onto the old for dear life, out of fear of what is to come, we can’t receive the new that is more in alignment with who we are now. Two things can’t occupy the same space. So don’t be afraid to let go of what is wanting to leave, because something so much better is waiting to come into (and practically being forced into) our lives!

This message really speaks to me. There are so many changes going on in my life ~ looking for a new career, my son moving out, me wondering what to do next. It feels like the universe is opening its arms to me and all I have to do is fall into its embrace.
