In memoriam - Jorge Borrero

I have always said the my relation with the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) is characterized by bitter sweet moments. Instants of joy that I always will remember, and episodes that I would prefer to forget.

The assassination of Jorge Borrero, former employee of the UCAB's School of Law is a moment of sorrow and impotence that broke my heart.

Jorge was an incredible young man, and a guy that supported me during my law studies and my lectures in the university until 2015. Moreover, since I visit the university with certain frequency, I used to meet Jorge and talk with him. He always was respectful and the kind of people that remind you the values that UCAB as an institution tries to share with its community. He was so close the School of Law, that I am sure that his loss will affect them all. He was that kind of "First Officer" on board, that make things possible.

We will never forget Jorge. And I only hope to live in a country whereby you don't have tho share more memories of friends killed by insecurity, but good times with your friends alive and free.

Rest in peace, dear Jorge.
